Top Ten Things I Love/Hate About The Hood
In
the summer of 2006 NADIR
composed the original score for the independent film Top
Ten Things I Love/Hate About The Hood, produced by Corner
Boy Films, written and directed by the incomparable Lee
Martin.
The
film tells the story of Nicholas Skobey, a down on his luck, disbarred attorney
and recovering alcoholic whose search for a missing socialite leads him to the
shadier side of the city - a world of hustlers, criminals, fast women, and jackleg
preachers. The heroic quest turns up ghosts from his past and new questions
about the untimely death of his brother. NADIR's gritty blaxploitation-style
soundtrack adds tension and excitement to this comic thriller.
